Use this checklist regarding phases in your construction to gage when to schedule us in !

ADOBE FLOORS:
This is one of the last finishes to your home, because of it’s length of time to complete and requirement for no other subcontractor's traffic on floor.
Initial ground-work to consider :
- Moisture barriers in place
- Radiant and in-floor heat systems in place and functioning properly (if applicable)
- Rough-in electrical and plumbing completed
- Elevations for stairs windows, doors, counters must account for floor thickness
Have you:
- Installed functioning heated floor tubing?
- Finished the walls / ceilings surfaces?
COUNTERTOPS:
Have you:
- Installed the cabinets
- Sealed faces of cabinets
- Roughed-in plumbing to cabinets and functioning outlets
- Roughed-in lighting fixtures above
- Aquired sinks and fixtures (and on jobsite)
- Chosen desired shape, thickness and colors
Before you:
- Finish interior wall surfaces
CUSTOM WOODWORKING:
Please call for job-specific time-scheduling
EARTHEN PLASTERS:
Have you:
- Installed and sealed windows
- Rough-in Electrical and Plumbing
- Drywall
- Installed exterior and int. doors
- Installed and sealed window/doors seals
- Bullnoses, Reveals, and Texture defined
- Taped and Mudded Drywall
- Cobbed and Wired Strawbale
Before you:
- Mount Plumbing and Electrical fixtures
CLAY FINISHES:
Have you:
- Plastered wall surfaces with smooth or sponged or knowndown-trowel finish
- Chosen color and effects for clay (mica, straw, modeling, etc)
- Masked any surfaces that need to be protected
- Sealed any ajoining woodwork
Before you:
ADOBE BRICK
Have you:
- Accounted for the weight of adobe in foundation, ajoining wall system
Please Consider:
- Weight
- Adjoining and connecting to what surface (plasters, woodwork, tile, concrete, adobe floors)
- Be aware of it’s lengthy drying time
- Chosen what shape and for what function
- Benches, nichos, kivas, partitioned walls, arches, scuplture and reliefs
- Proper roofing structure to preserve bricks
- Adequate water shedding /drainage
STRAWBALE:
Please Consider:
- Thicker walls
- Dimensions of strawbale
- Heighth of walls
- Post/beam or weight bearing
- Foundation Moisture protection
- Installing Window and door bucks
- Electrical planning and incorperation into bales
